DETAILED TASKS ASSIGNED

I am Team Leader: Capacity Development for Clean Development Mechanism in Uganda; a UNEP project 2003 – 2005. It involves conducting awareness, training and consultancy to policy –makers, private sector and CBOs. I have been involved in Clean Developing Mechanism activities since 2000. I attended various training workshops in Uganda which were organised by international exports from The World Bank(Carbon Prototype Fund), United Kingdom through SUSAC Project and UNEP. We had further training by consultants from University of Stuttgart Germany using software like MESAP Modular Energy System Analysis and Planning. I am familiar with LEAP. I was a member of task force in energy sector. I did participate in preparation of the Work Plan for Capacity Development for Clean Developing Mechanism.

There are international meetings and training in which I participated in countries like Ethiopia, Mozambique, Kenya and University of Cape Town , South Africa. As the result of the capacity I was able to develop PINS for local project developers in the energy sector. Some the PINS for small scale-projects were presented at the Carbon Expo 2005 in Cologne Germany. I did participate in developing sustainable development criteria for Uganda. We had training carbon market and transactions other basic items like baseline assessment and monitoring of CDM projects.
